What's the best way to get to Santa Margherita

If you're traveling from outside of Italy, the nearest airports are Genova or Milan's airports: Malpensa or Linate. You can then take the train from Milano Centrale station to the Santa Margherita Ligure- Portofino station (approx 2 hours). Alternatively you can rent a car and drive, or hire a car for a private transfer.

Traveling by train

If you are planning on taking the train to and from Santa Margherita, we suggest you book a train on the Trenitalia website. If you are traveling from Milan, you should book from Milano Centrale station to the Santa Margherita Ligure- Portofino station.

N.B. If you do not have a car we recommend ensuring your accommodation is central (either in Santa Margherita or Portofino) so you can easily reach the venue by taxi,motorino, boat or on foot.
